Hey
Doggies... I see that some of you managed to guess where Eil went. And
you're right.. It's
Bangkok and the 2nd picture is their famous hot and spicy
Tom Yum Soup. There are news of
social unrest there but while Eil was there she felt pretty
safe moving around the tourist area. She did check with the hotel staff if it was safe to go to certain place before she went out and there was no news
(that's coz they only watched MTV channel in the hotel) or alert that they should stay away from any place.
The malls there are
HUGE! They go out of the hotel around 10am everyday and dont return till after 10.30pm. And after 5 days there, the 2 of them have not cover all parts of the mall yet.
Eil and her friend travel around Bangkok mostly on the
BTS Skytrain. It's a really cheap and convinent mode of
transport that brings them to most of the shopping areas.
They also went to
Chatuchak Market. It's the
Worlds Biggest Weekend Market selling practically everything under the sun. The market was so huge and even with a map, Eil and her friend got
lost many times and nearly could not find their way out. Check out the cute
doggies clothes on sale there. But it gets really
hot around noon time and when Eil and her friend were walking directly under the sun, they can feel their soles burning from the heat.
Check out that whole shelve of
pepsi in their local supermart. They customised their own lable to say pepsi in Thai. :)
And now.... the
main reason why Eil risked her life to go to Thailand....
(ok seriously, it's not that scary over there. Us 2 females felt safe to be walking in the tourist area and to be taking their public transport there)
They went there for
Rain's concert!!!! The ticket price is way much
cheaper then what it was selling for in
Singapore and the stage set-up is totally different. The stage is in a
"D" shape, so Eil's ticket let her stand in the middle of the "D". And when he walked round the semi circle stage, the fans there can
turn round to see him. She stood about less then 10 people from the front row and very close to the left side.
They reached the venue at 5pm to start queuing and were let in around 7.15pm. Everyone have to
stand up (well in Eil's case, she was already standing) to the playing of their Thai national song before the
concert start at 8.15pm. As Eil was not sure how strict the
security there was, she didn't bring her camera to the concert. But you can get a
sneak peak from the clip below, taken from youtube from another fan.

The performance was
Fantastic, Eil noticed he has his own
life band playing there. Last time in Singapore, her seat was too farrrrrrr to see the band. They also got to see the fireworks and laser effects real close. (The
laser was just beaming above their heads) He also added on more dance moves and was teasing the audience alot. The best part was they can see Mr Rain
really close.. Can see his er... belly button. :) At one part of the song where Mr Rain came to the side (the view was very near Eil) he
smiled in their direction in the middle of the song (Eil's version of the story is that he smiled at
HER!! haa haa haa, yeah right...) Although Eil was much closer to him in this concert (corn-shirt) She still didn't manage to grab any shirt or the 2 towels he threw to the audience. But at the last song, Mr Rain and his dancers were throwing
water at each other then the audience from mineral water bottles and everyone in the middle of the D stage did get wet. The concert ended at 10.30pm and all of the fans felt the concert was really wonderful and Eil and her friend had
no regrets going for the concert. As it is the last concert in
Asia, Mr Rain will be heading to USA next for a few more concert till the end of this month then he'll be making his his
Hollywood debut in the Wachowski brothers’ (they did "The Matrix’’ film series) new film "Speed Racer’’.
The next day, Eil and her friend "happened" to be
shopping at the mall just besides the hotel that Mr Rain is staying and manage to catch glimpse of him getting out of the hotel to the airport. As usual, her
lousy photography skill did not get her a clear pic of Mr Rain, but she did took a picture of his lot of luggage. Haaa, I wonder if that is really his bag....
I found these in Eil's bag yesterday... Yeah so nice of her to buy me
yogurt drinks... hum... what
flavor should I start with first.....
Here's her collection of
cup noodles. Eil is
very upset today when she found out that she's missing 1 design to the complete set. Anyone going to Bangkok can help Eil get the missing design??? I bet she's very willing to pay lots of treats for that missing design....
Ok, that's it on Eil's trip.
Tomorrow will be about
ME again. Heee. :)
