Mama said no as we have no time and the resources to have a dog. Then she reminded us of the message that SPCA always highlight.
"Having a pet is a lifelong commitment, and unless you are certain and ready to care for one, you should not rush into the decision of getting a pet."
Which really make sense.. so sometimes being a responsible animal lover means not keeping a pet when you know you cannot care for it well.
So I guess for the time being the only dogs we'll have around here would be Pinky Winky & Bluey Wooey.

My mom understands this very much. She would love to have dogs too but she works too much and it would not be fair to the dog. Of course, me, I am no trouble at all! hee hee

Eli is very smart; she must get it from you, Bae! Getting a dog is like adding another member to your family. We're a lot of work and responsibility but we sure do bring lots of joy.
Mom says we three are SOOOOO much work - but she is probably just joking.
I think that is pawsomely excellent advice Eil's mom gave.

That's a great thing to remind everyone of. I know my Owners would love to take home all the homeless doggies in the world but they know that we can't afford or handle another doggie right now! Pinky Winky & Bluey Wooey look pretty low maintenance to me!

Gram's bipeds had friends when they were little a million years ago who had a Bluey Wooey and a Pinky Winky....now what were the chances of that happenin' when we're so far away ???? April ( the friend with Bluey Wooey) had ta take 'em everywhere she went...even ta church....wonder if she still has 'em....she gets married next week......

It's good that your Eil is honest that she really can't have a big responsibility at this moment. Some people just simply go get a pet when they aren't ready or know they can't really spend much time with it & then end up neglecting it & caging it for hours everyday. So unfair to the poor animal. Although you are quite easy to take care of, I think your Eil is doing a good job so far.
