ABCs for having hammies

Oh doggies, I got news that Rossi and his mom found an abandon hammie on a walkie this morning! How can anyone abandon a hammie? That's very cruel and thank dog Rossi and his mom have rescued the hammie and are going to give him a pawsome furever home. You and your mom are my heros Rossi! Go to his blog and help him name his new family member.
Ok, I'm going to help Rossi by writing the 101s on having a hammie today.

1) give the hammie a sheltered house. So that we have a place where we feel safe and to sleep in

2) Get a water bottle and change the water in there daily

3) Have a food tray always ready with seeds and hammie food so that we wont go hungry (and for the occasion food baths that we like to have)

4) Get a running wheel for your hammie to excercise in. Get those with solid surface (not those bar types) so that your hammie's feet wont get catch in between the bars and get injuired. The exercise wheel is not a luxury item but a NECCESITY for the hamster. Hamsters are naturally active and a lack of exercise might result in paralysis

5) Bathing sands as we dont need water bath. Just put us in a box with a little sand once a week and we'll bathe ourselves.

6) Cotton wool or tissue paper that we can use as comfy bedding.

Can't wait to hear what Rossi is going to name his new hammie. I know you and your mom will take good care of your new family member. :)

what a mean thing to do to a poor hammie. way back about like a million years ago Mom and Dad found a bunny in the GARBAGE. I dont know if you were reading my blog way back then, but Mom and dad found him a furever home too :/ poor abandoned pets, people are so mean!

I just visited his bloggie. Poor hammies... My mommy used to rare many hammies last time but now all died. She still has the hammie's water bottle here. It's a glass one... Don't know if they will want it or not. That hammie looks like Fufu. Maybe he should be named Fufu, hehehe!

Girl Girl!!

You should do university courses on Hammie care. You're a very good teacher.

That Rossi & his mama are so cool to take in the homeless hammie. I hope the hammie knows they are in good hands/paws.

By the way, that last photo of you sleeping is stinkin' cute.

Goober love,
Stanley

Oh Girl Girl... thank you.. thank you .. can't thank u enough.. u really did enlighten us on the requirement for hammie.. but we dun have a water bottle yet.. cause we can't find it any where near the pet shop here.. we have been wondering around 4 pet shops this morning.. and only managed to get food, bedding and small little cage for this little one.. but we do put a water container in his cage.. hope he knows how to drink the water out of it.. oh yes, the cage came with running wheel too..

Let's see what i missed.. oops, since i already bathed him with water guess nothing much could be done now... but we did dried him immediately ... oh, and he don't have a house yet... only a cage.. i guess we will make a trip to bigger pet shop this coming weekend.. but Max promised to loan us peanut's cage.. am so excited and thankful..

Ok.. again, thank u so much for your help..

Cheers
Rossi

Poor little Hammie! How nice of Rossi's Mom to take him home & care for him.

You should write The Hammie Handbook for Dummies!! They could pay you in sunflower seeds!
